In his professional career, Max has held leadership roles at Reuters, Bloomberg Media, and the Los Angeles Times, driving technological innovation in the global media landscape. At Reuters, he spearheaded cross-institutional collaborations with Harvard and MIT. At Bloomberg Media, Max developed the company’s first Generative AI strategy, designing personalized news experiences that leveraged cutting-edge technologies. His tenure at the LA Times saw him pioneer the use of Natural Language Processing and Augmented Reality in publishing workflows, resulting in an industry-leading NLP patent and groundbreaking solutions for information overload.

As co-founder of Dialogues on Asian Universities (DAU), Max has helped establish a leading platform for dialogue among scholars and university leaders on the future of higher education in Asia.
