Introduction
The number of Asian universities that reached global prominence increased significantly in recent years. Among them, many started by learning from their Western counterparts. However, not all best practices in the West can be applied to Asian universities. How could Asian universities find their own models of growth?
The difference between Western and Eastern societies can not be overlooked when trying to understand their higher education systems. These differences are not just influenced by governments, but also forged by their histories and cultures.
In this dialogue, our panelists shared their insights on what to learn from the West while staying focused on unique challenges and opportunities in Asia.
